Tea Stories
Green Tea & Matcha
Clean · Grassy · Quietly energizing
Roots
Green tea is one of the oldest wellness traditions still practiced daily, steamed or pan-fired the same way it has been for centuries. That quick heat is what locks in the color and the catechins the leaf is famous for.
Character
A clean, living cup — grassy and vegetal in some leaves, lightly sweet and nutty in others, and nearly weightless in matcha. The caffeine is gentle. The focus it offers is not.
Why we chose it
We look for green teas that still taste like the field they came from. Paired with a pinch of Lemon sugar, they become the cup we reach for when we want to feel awake without feeling rushed.
Steep for 2:00
175°F (cool, not boiling)
Green tea burns easily. Let the kettle rest a minute off the boil. Two minutes of steep, maybe less for a delicate sencha. The leaf tells you when it is done.
